  • Collaborate with the host to pitch creative ideas for social media campaigns and content themes.

  • Edit and design visually engaging posts, including behind-the-scenes clips, episode teasers, and content that encourages audience interaction.

  • Assist in managing a content calendar to ensure consistent posting that aligns with podcast episodes and key themes.

  • Engage with the podcast’s online community, responding to comments and fostering discussions around episodes.

  • Stay on top of social media trends, experimenting with new formats and ideas to keep content fresh and exciting.

  • Review engagement analytics to identify what’s working and not working.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A creative person with a passion for video creation and storytelling

  • Strong interest and expertise in social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, particularly for video content

  • Experience with filming and editing video content using tools such as (e.g., Cap Cut, Descript, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar)

  • Fluency in content design softwares like Canva

  • Self-starter who is excited to pitch new ideas and take initiative in bringing them to life

  • Passion for social justice, narrative activism, and storytelling

  • [Optional] Preferably located in the Bay Area and willing to travel to Oakland for in-person collaboration

Compensation:

  • $25-$30/hour, depending on experience
